Belfast Membership: Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase and use of membership with Belfast Celtic CIC located in Belfast. By purchasing and activating a membership, the Member agrees to be bound by these T&Cs.
1. Membership Agreement and Term
1.1. Membership Term
Membership is granted for a fixed term of one (1) year, commencing on the date of purchase and payment confirmation (the "Activation Date").
1.2. Non-Subscription Basis
All memberships are purchased as a one-off, annual payment. The membership does not operate on a recurring subscription model.
1.3. Renewal Process
Prior to the end of the one-year term, thke Member will receive an email notification detailing the current renewal price and providing a payment link should they wish to continue their membership for the following year. Membership will automatically expire if not actively renewed by the Member via the provided link before the end of the current term.
1.4. discount code usage
The use of the unique discount code and access to the digital members portal are strictly for the named Member only and may not be transferred or shared.
2. Fees, Pricing, and Upgrades
2.1. Fixed Price Guarantee
The price paid by the Member for their initial one-year membership term is guaranteed and fixed for that term. The Club reserves the right to introduce new membership tiers or adjust renewal prices for subsequent years. Any new pricing will be communicated to the Member during the renewal process.
2.2. Membership Upgrades
Members wishing to upgrade to a higher membership tier (if available) during their current term should contact the Club via email at belfastceltic1@gmail.com. An upgrade fee, representing the difference between the current membership price and the new tier's price (pro-rated for the remaining term), may apply.
2.3. Membership Downgrades
Downgrading to a lower-priced tier is only permitted upon the annual renewal date.
3. Membership Benefits and Rights
3.1. Voting Rights
Members are granted voting rights on relevant club matters, as determined by the Club's governing body. The Club will provide clear communication regarding the procedures, dates, and scope of any voting opportunities.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
4.1. No Refunds Policy
Due to the nature of the membership being a fixed-term, one-off purchase providing immediate access to benefits, all membership fees are non-refundable. Once payment is confirmed, the Member will have access to all membership benefits until the end of the one-year term.
4.2. Cancellation
Membership cannot be cancelled or terminated by the Member during the one-year fixed term. If a Member no longer wishes to participate, they should simply refrain from completing the renewal payment when invited to renew.
4.3. Termination by the Club
The Club reserves the right to terminate any membership immediately, without refund, if the Member breaches any of these T&Cs or engages in conduct that the Club deems inappropriate, harmful, or detrimental to the Club's reputation or other members.
5. Data Protection and Communication
5.1. Data Usage
The Member consents to the Club holding and using their personal data for the purpose of administering the membership, communicating renewal details, informing them of club matters (including voting), and providing membership benefits.
5.2. Communication
The primary method of communication between the Club and the Member will be via the email address provided at registration (belfastceltic1@gmail.com). It is the Member's responsibility to ensure this email address remains current and functional.
6. General Provisions
6.2. Limitation of Liability
The Club shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the Member's use of the membership or participation in any club activities. The Club's liability for any direct loss shall be limited to the total membership fee paid by the Member for the current one-year term.
6.3. Amendments to T&Cs
The Club reserves the right to amend these T&Cs at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Club's website or notice to the Member. For existing members, material changes will not take effect until the start of their next renewal period.
7. Results and Performance Disclaimer
7.1. Aspirational Goals
The Club's Phase 1 Development plans, including infrastructure upgrades (e.g., floodlights, all-weather pitch) and sporting objectives (e.g., team building), are set out as aspirational targets dependent on the successful achievement of necessary funding goals.
7.2. Non-Guarantee of Outcomes
The Member acknowledges that the delivery schedule and ultimate success of these development initiatives are contingent upon multiple factors, most significantly the volume of membership sign-ups and associated capital investment, alongside securing necessary planning permissions and external grants if necessary.
7.3. No Guaranteed Results
While the Club is fully committed to diligently pursuing all stated development objectives, the purchase of membership constitutes an investment in the potential and aim of the Club, not a contractual guarantee of specific completion dates, sporting achievements, or operational results. The Club shall not be held liable for any delay or modification to the development roadmap resulting from insufficient funding, unforeseen costs, or external regulatory issues.
8. Merchandise Returns and Exchanges Policy
This section governs the return and exchange of physical goods purchased directly from the Club (including merchandise purchased using the membership discount code).
8.1. Right to Return (The 14-Day Period)
The Member or customer has a statutory right to cancel a contract for merchandise purchased online and return the item(s) within fourteen (14) calendar days from the day they receive the order ("the Return Period").
8.2. Conditions for Return
To be eligible for a refund or exchange, all returned merchandise must strictly meet the following conditions:
- Time Limit: The return must be initiated, and the product posted, within the 14-day Return Period.
- Condition: The product must be unused, unworn, and unwashed. It must be returned in the exact condition it was received.
- Packaging: All original packaging, tags, labels, and documentation must be intact and included with the returned item.
The Club reserves the right to refuse a return or apply a deduction to the refund if the item is returned damaged, soiled, worn, or missing its original packaging/tags.
8.3. Return Procedure and Cost
- Initiation: To initiate a return, the Member must notify the Club via email at belfastceltic1@gmail.com within the Return Period, stating their order number and reason for return.
- Return Shipping Cost: The buyer is solely responsible for the cost of returning the merchandise to the Club's designated returns address.
- Proof of Postage: The Club strongly recommends that the buyer use a tracked and insured shipping service, as the Club accepts no responsibility for items lost or damaged during return transit.
8.4. Refunds and Processing
- Refund Method: Approved refunds will be processed back to the original method of payment used for the purchase.
- Processing Time: The Club aims to process refunds within fourteen (14) days of receiving and inspecting the returned merchandise.
